Rengifo has settled nicely into a groove at the plate and in the field.  Keep him out there every game.

Wade is handling 3B well.   Offense is of course an issue.

Ohtani has been unhittable since the 3 innings struggle in NY.   That plus the hitting = no doubter for AL POTM?

The pitch count didn’t indicate it, but Tepera is morphing back into pre-2022 Tepera over the past 5 appearances.

Gonna be hard to beat Alvarez for Player of the Month. He had an OPS of 1.345. That's higher than even Trout has ever had in a full month.

Let this sink in.

Since the disaster start in NY a year ago, Ohtani has pitched 142.1 innings (24 starts) and has 174 Ks and 25 BBs.

Almost 7/1 Ks/BBs ratio

Pedroesque

Anndd, almost 6 innings per start over the past year

What's the ERA in those 142.1 innings since that terrible start in New York?

.973 June OPS before last night plus a ridiculous stretch of 26.2 innings (1 run, sub 0.80 WHIP)

Question though, can Player of the Month be a pitcher?   Or are only offense stats taken into consideration?
