What makes people think Scioscia doesnt care? Hes not the manager of a young ball club trying to find its way, these are fully developed ball players who should be able to execute his calls and play fundamental baseball. Its not Sosh's fault Petey cant get a bunt down and Hamilton literally has a formula for striking out ( Lefty + Breaking ball a foot off the plate). Only thing is, I would would have pinch hit for Hamilton had it been bases loaded, 1 out with the IBB to Trout. However, there are not many managers if any at all that would make that call

Scioscia cares. I'm not sure why Trout isn't running more though. We're talking about an all time great baserunner from last year. His success rate was off the freaking charts. Less than 30 attempts at this point in the season is not acceptable.

Refer this.  Sure he cares, so much that he continues to put nearly the worst hitter in MLB in the #2 slot, right after the best hitter on the team.  He cares so much that he bunts PB so they can walk the Angels best hitter to get to their worst hitter.  Immense level of caring, truly immense.  Now lets turn the page because he truly cares.

dont post much on here, but thought i'd share my 2 cents

what makes everyone think that Sosh is stopping trout, bourjous, etc.. from running?

for all we know they may have the green light everytime, but they themselves dont feel comfortable, or arent getting good reads, plus how can they attempt to run when hamilton doesnt take any pitches and swings at everything??

Sosh does and says a lot of crazy stuff but this blaming him for every single thing that goes wrong is getting really old and tiresome

i was all for hamilton in the 2 spot, but that experiment has clearly proven to not be working and its time to move him down the line up

Katrinab, you may be right but I'm guessing Trout wants to run every time he's on base. Honestly, he should be running as much as possible. With Hamilton being an automatic out, Trout should be trying to move into scoring position every time he's on first.

He is doing the best he can folks, he just isn't very good.

He was decent once, but so was Hamilton. They are mental twins in my book.
