Most disappointed you ever were about a player NOT signing with the Angels

Randy Johnson way back when. Tex because it seemed like a no brainer. Beltre because of how much sense it made. Cole because of how much sense it made, and the rumors it was happening.

Stroman recently. Both because he was the guy I wanted, and because after not getting anyone else, it made the mose sense of "its because theyre signing him"

And then we didnt

Dude! Where in the world have you been?

You have about three years worth of family vacations to fill us in on.

LOL! Thanks for noticing.

It’s good to be back. Went through a rough patch, and without even realizing it, l stopped doing  a lot of things l enjoyed. I am FloridaHalo now.

Sounds like your Disney vacations will now be easier. Hope this was a good move for you. Still have your own business?

Unfortunately, my business died on the vine as healthcare insurance reforms did me in, and Covid finished me off. Very stressful time. I was able to use my connections in the specialty pharmacy  to keep myself employed, but needed something better. With both kids now in college, it was time for a change. I have a good friend who owns a snack food company in Windermere FL who offered me a new start. We moved and are very happy here. And yes, we are 15 minutes from Disney World.

I thought we were locks to sign Beltran (then he had that insane playoff run which probably drove his contract out of sight) - later I realized he preferred being close to PR - but at the time, thought he wanted to play for us and so was really disappointed he didn't sign

As others have said, Beltre and Johnson were disappointing (really wanted Johnson if only to never have to face him.)    Beltre - to be honest, I wanted him but was skeptical that he'd sustain.  He did 😕

Teix was a really good fit, but there was something about him I never liked, so was conflicted

Most of the big names came with high performance risks and cripplingly high contract values, so not too disappointed with most of the recent ones.

Pujols was in that category - I thought we'd like having him for 3 or 4 years, and hate him by the end.   Eh, might've been optimistic

Kevin Brown and Beltre ...  also Troy Glaus

Brown would have been such a massive improvement, even worse...  Losing out on him meant Tim Belcher became an Angel.

Beltre because his TUE pretty much guaranteed he would continue to play well.

The Glaus situation just sucked.  D-Mac's hip imploding made it worse.  But imagine those Angels teams if they had been able to keep Glaus' power AND still have Figgy at the top of the order..

John Lackey not resigning with the Angels and then to going to Boston of all places.  He immediately became dead to me.

Yeah, you think he would have moved to Wyoming and just lived on a ranch.  Just horse in around.wyoming-ranch-horse-jacson-hole-lovely-canyon-along-gros-ventre-river-61493813.jpg

I agree with Randy Johnson. Totally forgot we were in the running.

Good one with Kevin Brown too, @Inside Pitch.

I was slightly bummed about not getting Marcus Stroman, but the more I've seen of his antics on social media I think we came out winners not signing that tool.
