Sorry for not being super pumped up but sadly getting inducted means you are included in the “Hall of Players at Least Arguably Equivalent to Harold Baines.”

Tony Oliva? Gil Hodges? Minnie Minoso? They're really lowering the bar - those three are classic Hall of the Very Good types.

There are much better players still out: Bobby Grich, Dick Allen, Lou Whitaker, not to mention Roid Era guys.

Oliva won 3 batting titles, lead the league in hits 5 times and doubles, 4 times.  Eight time all-star and a career batting average of .304.  The dude was a stud.  I don't have a problem with him being the HOF.

Jim Kaat won an amazing 16 gold gloves.  I don't know if he's HOF worthy, but 16 GG's is pretty impressive.

BTW... If you want to read an absolutely great book, pick up "The Soul of Baseball: A Road Trip Through Buck O'Neil's America."  It's written by Joe Posnanski and it's great read.
