Mike Trout not expected to return this season

No, not at all. I genuinely believe he wants to play and he is bummed out about missing so much time. I respect him.

And that's sad.

If he tears his calf "pretty bad" simply jogging back to the dugout and is out almost four months, what are we to expect next year when/if he's able to play without pain. Will we hold our breath when he runs full speed after a ball or tries to steal a base?

Trout has had season-ending injuries in each of the last two full seasons. He has not played more than 140 games in a season since 2016.

It would be bizarre if I were still as much of a fan of him as I used to be.

They should do exploratory surgery now and get it over with. I have a feeling he will "feel something" in ST next year.

I never have, and never will, recommend surgery. 

Are you a medical expert with inside knowledge of Trout's injury.

I would imagine 400 million creates a comfortable life, it would be hard to stay hungry and driven.........
