I've tried really hard the last 2 seasons, but for some reason, I just can't get on board with loving Rendon.  Not sure what it is, but he's just hard to engage with as a fan, at least to me.

Same, but keep in mind "the last 2 seasons" doesn't mean what it normally would. This is only his 70th game in an Angels uniform.

Indeed. The three seasons before he arrived here, he had 7.2, 5.1, and 6.1 bWAR. 

In the time he has been here, we've only seen 2.5 bWAR. Now, in 70 games, that's pretty damn good... but spread out over a mini-season like last, and an incredibly frustrating season like this one, it feels so... "blah," as you put it. 

I'm not sure there is anything that can cure that as long as the team sucks.
