In the time he has been here, we've only seen 2.5 bWAR. Now, in 70 games, that's pretty damn good... but spread out over a mini-season like last, and an incredibly frustrating season like this one, it feels so... "blah," as you put it. 

I'm not sure there is anything that can cure that as long as the team sucks. 

From a fan/excitement standpoint, I think it may also be that his power (both in terms of HR and doubles) hasn't matched 2019--though 2019 was an aberration, at least in terms of HR.  So maybe I just set my hopes too high, and he'll settle back into being a 20-25 HR, 90-ish RBI guy who gets on base at a solid clip and plays good defense.  Nothing wrong with that, of course.  It's just not "flashy."

Yeah I expect him to hit .290-.310 with 25-30 HR and 90-110 RBIs. With a low 400 OBP.  He’s gonna be a very important bat in the middle of this order for years. He’s a stability piece. You know what you’re getting.
