I stopped in Glendora at the voting area and the parking lot was nearly completely filled with people going in to vote at the racquetball building. I got a good parking place up front in the shade, put on my mask, grabbed the clubs out of the bed of the truck and walked over to the driving range. I think I've got my 7 iron swing back on track.

I've noticed in this election, maybe because it's so small, that my local polling places were all closed.  Nearest place for me usually is a block away at the church, now they were recommending a place a good mile away, on the wrong side of the fwy.

I heard the best reason today to vote in person.  Guy was interviewed why he was there.  He said, "I came to drop off my mail in ballot, because I don't trust the Post Office."

That's not voting in person that's dropping off a mail in ballot.

Luckily the state of California emails you when your ballot was received and then again when it was counted.

What's real interesting to me is whether Orange County will vote yes or no?   Gotta think it's yes based on the fact that Newsom won by only .2% there in a blue wave year and public perception of both the Dems and Newsom there has certainly taken a hit since then, but I wonder how much of that will be cancelled out by just not wanting Elder?

I think people tend to get out more for Presidential elections as opposed to state an local. I’m a little surprised this is at 35% though

Which is unfortunate because state and local elections have more of an impact than presidential elections on most people's daily lives.
