the loss of a potential FA pitcher at the top of the market is never a good thing whether we get him or not.

Lindor has a .185/.294/.272 slash line in 151 ABs with the Mets so far during the 2021 regular season. I have never thought of Lindor was an elite hitter but he was always a good hitter in Cleveland. A lot of his value comes from being a terrific defensive shortstop. Wasn't worth the contract that the Mets gave him. And he's getting booed by the Mets fans. Didn't expected that. But Fernando Valenzuela and Jeter both got booed by their own fans for struggling to perform well, too. Hard to believe that but it's true. That's like Angels fans booing Trout because he is struggling badly. Could happen, hopefully not.

Or if Trout ask to be traded and comes back as opposing player. Would halo fans boo? I do not think as he would deserve a standing ovation.

The first baseman was so cavalier about the play. If he just runs toward Baez and tags him out or goes back to the bag and touch it, the run doesn't score. He's got to know that if he doesn't tag Baez out first the run scores. Dummy! lol
