Downtown San Diego existed before Petco park went in. Right now Nothing exists except Angels stadium and a parking. But this deal seriously just sounds like they want to put all these maps get it all agreed to by the city and then flip it for someone else to incur all these costs of building it. I don’t know how or why this is a 25 plus year deal in the works.

It certainly does feel slapped together.

Well, going off the drawing, there's a single grass field out near the 51 freeway 57 freeway that will fit about 120 cars.

So, figure parking will cost something like $150, but there will be parking.

There’s also parking at Wrigley Field, sort of.    At least the EL system takes care of transportation.

I don't believe anything until Bill from LA Times says it...

Ha, thanks!

These agreements were previously announced. The $150 million is the cash price, the other $170 million is a development credit toward affordable housing and parkland within the project. It isn't yet clear whether Arte and his company would finance that or take on a development partner to do so.

"Plans to sell and develop property at Angel Stadium violates the Surplus Land Act and its requirements for encouraging lower-income housing, California housing authorities told Anaheim city leaders, despite a proposal to add more affordable housing elsewhere in the city within a decade."
