Really?  Can you find one instance where I deleted a post?
Or do you think words like retarded are just fine?

Whoa Nellie, Just because something I said comes in the batch and shows after what you posted, which I never read cause I was two pages earlier at the time about people censored from facebook or twitter for their posts or tweets had nothing to do with what you said and the R word.  You can't follow what comes after you in the row as directed at you. I think it's bull crap for you to think that was my intent. I was alluding to the fear of censorship over Trumpers being cut off for inciting shit that is dangerous.  I thin I deserve a hug now.

So, in other words, you are fine stifling people who think differently than you.

The Khmer Rouge used terms like “re-education “

I’m really not sure how you got this out of what I posted.  The Khemer Rogue had literal death camps.  Bleh, Lol I’m not going to get into all that with you.  But come on man.  Do you seriously think that what they’re talking about is literal violent re-education ?

Sorry Kurt.  Being the father of an autistic son, I really get fired up when people use that word

No worries, you know if I meant it at you I would have at least given you the respect to quote you first. I am referring to a sudden impulse of some to think the timing of censorship from these platforms is now oh here we go Biden and the commies are coming in to get us and our guns.  Certain people, aka a POTUS should be censored from social media when they use it to fuck shit up in their favor.  Not communism but common sense.

The way you’re defining dissent is insane to me dude.  Sorry.

I mean, do you think it would have been good if  Nazis “dissenting” views were shut down.  Like I’m not even talking about shutting these idiots down.  I’m saying that the idea that maybe people should try and talk them down shouldn’t be unspeakable.

some of these lunatic right wing conspiracies are dangerous if they continue to proliferate into main steam thought.  As we’ve seen they are already very far long in terms of their broad acceptance.  Do you think we’re going to have a country if this continues ?

Dissent is dissent.  If it isn’t violent then it is exactly what the Bill of Rights is protecting.  People should be able to have and express any ideas, ever and always. Talk of stripping people of degrees, medals and the like because they have even crazy ideas is still wrong in every way

It’s not even a swear word.  Would there be a preclusion against “moist” if there was more women posters since they all seem to hate that word?  If Chuck bans the word, fine.  But otherwise, sorry.

This is the response I figured I would get from you.  Says what kind of person you are.  Even if you are playing a character

But it is violent.  Demonstrably so.  You’re treating this like the Rosewell conspiracy stuff.

If a university wants to rescind a degree or something I guess I don’t know that I agree with that.  Isn’t that the universities business ?  But that’s not the same as indulging in the public sphere a wholly deranged and disconnected from reality conspiracy because you do not accept the legitimacy to govern of your political opponents.  What are we talking about here ?

Let me clear, just in case for some reason it isn’t.  I don’t think anyone should be taken away to be “re educated” or even compelled in any way to listen to people telling them their dumb bullshit is wrong.

I think that someone trying to reach out to people who have insane ideas and try and get them to change their mind is fine and not dangerous or wrong.  Also, I think that effort is futile and silly.

One day it was violent.  Those people will pay for their crimes and rightfully so.

of course universities, businesses have the “right” to do what they want but it doesn’t mean it is the right thing.

Being autistic has nothing to do with mental retardation, which you know, however I can see where its used out of context to describe autistic behavior and be offensive.

Let's all adopt Morans as the alternative since it is a meme and pretty funny at that.

I have to get on the side of UTH here.  Nobody is going to strip Ted Cruz of his Harvard degree.  It gave me a chuckle seeing that.  Also his honorary PHD from Trump University is even worth more. I don't believe people should be able to express any and all ideas when you are a POTUS using them to retain power.

Hold on Kurt.  My point isn’t that people shouldn’t be allowed to express their dumb ideas.

im saying that the idea that there is some actual movement to “re educate” people in the draconian sense of like camps or whatever is ridiculous and simply not a real thing.  And also, it’s probably fine to acknowledge we have a real problem with patently false conspiracy theories being accepted in the main stream.  And, that is potentially a serious problem for stability in this country.  It might be a good idea to think about how those ideas might be taken less seriously.

And also, I don’t think that those ideas should be accepted in the public sphere as legitimate and rejecting them is not some form of stifling dissent or censorship.

What I meant, just couldn't phrase it as well.

Marginalizing works as a really good way to stifle and a really good way to get people violent.

I am not saying we are at the point you describe but we are certainly at a point where the free exercise of speech and ideas are being threatened.  Maybe just by the nature of social media but regardless, it is happening and that is dangerous , far more dangerous that any tweet from Trump, Iran or North Korea will ever be

What do you think it’s the correct response to a massive and well funded disinformation campaign whose sole purpose is undermining and possibly over turning the results of a legitimate election ? I mean, there has to be some line where those ideas are rejected or no ?
