Taking on Money in trade...

OK, who else aside from Bos and Cubs are looking to move money, am i missing anything here as it seems to me they are the only ones that have openly said that.  
Who else could we actually be talking to with regard to that?
Im so damned frustrated at all this crap at his point im drawing a total blank...

I'd say Cincinnati and Bauer, except he only has one season remaining before FA.

Apparently the Rockies are taking offers on Arrenado.

It could be getting a pitcher we want while taking on a bad contract from that team.  So it could be picking up Myers along with a really good young starter.

I did forget that part of the trade, as the Pads have many good young pitchers.   Myers could play at 1B when Pujols doesn't. 

I draw the line there though.    Do NOT take on Hosmer and his 6 years/$102 million remaining, unless they send us Gore (of course, Gore not being traded).

I suspect I’ll be an outlier here but I still like Wil Myers OK and if eating his contract gets us a pitcher then that would be good.  He’s 29, a guy with a nice tool kit.  He’s had injuries and issues but he may well yet finally put it all together.
 

the rich teams in baseball have successfully done this in the past.  If we’re actually getting value this is a decent way to get talent.  If we’re getting goddamn David Price, for the sake of getting David Price.  It’s stupid as fu*ck.
