The last few games are a good example of why you don't bat Pujols 4th.

He shouldn't play at all, but if you have to play him he should bat no higher than 7th or 8th.

When Ohtani is back there’s zero reason for him to not frequently ride the pine.  We’ll see what happens.

I know I’ve said this a bunch of times before but whatever.  I truly don’t understand the idea that Albert would just walk away from all that money.  Because of some number (.300) or be cause of any other reason.  Barring serious health issue.  This is playing baseball.  He gets to go hang out with the boys.  He gets to have fun playing a sport he loves.  Sure, he has to prepare and all that.  But we are talking about 90 million dollars.  That’s generational money.  He’d be out of his goddamn mind to walk about way from a guaranteed 90 million dollars.  And it simply won’t happen.  The Angels have to pay the man.  It’s not complicated.  That money was spent that second Albert put pen to paper on that contract.

Now it’s just matter of how long they Angels are going to allow him to be a problem for the roster.  His inability to run is a problem.  And he simply doesn’t have the bat anymore to make up for it.

All the same, really glad for whatever runs he does produce.  But the reality is that the Angels can field a better team that doesn’t include Albert once they get a little healthier.  He’s most useful as bench bat.  They should make him go away soon.

He can be our 26th man on the bench next year... If he is still here...
