Also worth noting, as of last night, the Angels are no longer last in the division. Half a game up from the A's, half a game back from Texas, one game back from the Astros. Assuming Seattle will eventually come back down to earth, we appear to be back in the thick of it in the west.

FFS, why call up Ward and not play him? Start him at 3B, Cozart at 2B, and put La Stella where he belongs: on the bench.

You know things are going good for the Angels when Justin Bour and Tommy La Stella homer, and Brian Goodwin is your second best hitter behind Trout.  Just a really weird season so far.

What ever you want to call it, "weird" or "fill in the blank", I personally will take the season the way it has played out so far. You don't win the World Series in your 1st game, 1st series, 1st home stand, or 1st month. It's a 162 regular season journey!

Zero. He will play almost every single day because we're paying him gobs of money. That's what it always comes down to.

I thought Ausmus was talking about holding players accountable and playing them based on production and not on the contract they have.  Didn't know he was morphing into Scioscia 2.0.
