Hey @GrittyVeterans it is an arbitrary stat year to year.  Guys have good years and bad years.  This year Albert is performing better than most.  Upton is performing worse than most.  These are facts.

So why are you allowed to post about how good Pujols is with RISP using it to defend his position in the batting order, yet you jump down people's throat for using it against Upton?

Okay, I agree with that. It's a worthless stat. People use it as justification for keeping Albert in the lineup but it's dog shit. I still don't get the double standard of backing up Pujols with it and then getting mad at people for trashing Upton with it

I said Upton is one of our better hitters, that is a fact.  I mean would you prefer to have Kinsler, Kole, Maldonado or Marte hitting there instead of Upton?  Of course not.  How bout Blash, Briceno, Cozart, Young, JMF, Cowart, Valbuena, Fontana, Rivera?
