A week away from April ending, and the Oakland Athletics have as many, or more, wins (12) than the Yankees, Dodgers, Indians, Twins, Nationals, and Cubs.

I said early this year they were due to have one of their "out of nowhere" years. I don't think they're WC contenders this year, but they're a good young team with some help on the way still.

Just in time for the Beaneius to trade away Manaea , Chapman, Olson for even more great prospects

LOL though at this blurb in the espn power rankings for this week:

Sean Manaea's no-hitter against the Red Sox was just his latest strong start to lower his ERA to 1.23. His was the seventh no-hitter in Oakland A's history, and their first since Dallas Braden's perfect game in 2010. The lefty is throwing with slightly less velocity this year, but he's generating more called strikes, ground-ball outs and popups, and getting the benefit of a significantly improved A's defense. -- Kahrl

Say what??????

Braves designated Peter Bourjos for assignment today.

That's too bad. I think they still have to pay him his guaranteed salary though. That's good for Peter.

But his options are diminishing. He's a role player and he's not young anymore. Pinch runner and late inning defensive replacement. The hitting part of the game has always been a struggle for him.

they don't stink. In FACT, they are an average team, which their record reflects.
