Barria pitched very well tonight. This isn't specifically an Angel, but Mac Williamson homered off Barria. Mac looks amazing so far after remaking his swing. He looks like he'll be one of those guys that finally figured it out closer to 30.

Canning's line didn't look great tonight.

Hopefully Burlington will start hitting the ball. That's an incredibly talented team.

I have to wonder how long it'll be if Calhoun continues to struggle for us to see Hermosillo.

Was thinking the same thing last night.

He knows they have the shift on him and when the pitcher pitches him inside he makes what it seems to be little effort to go the other way. He's hitting into the shift all day long. Frustrating because he's amazing defensively and I love his grit, overall game..

I'd think Chris Young gets a bit a shot first - it starts as one of the "Kole needs a breather" or "he's working through a few things" and they platoon for a few weeks. I feel like Jabari Blash is worth considering in place of Hermosillo as well. Don't sleep on Rymer Liriano either.

If the offense is absolutely clicking regardless of Kole, wouldn't surprise me at all if Calhoun wound up flipped for a vet innings-eater at the deadline to help stabilize the rotation, with some amalgamation of Young/Hermosillo/Blash filling the RF/4th OF roles. EYJr. and Revere are likely on that depth chart as well, but without being on the 40, their futures are a bit less predictable.

There are a handful of FAs in the coming offseason that can stopgap in RF if Hermosillo/Blash don't cut it down the stretch; Markakis, Jay, Chisenhall, Pollock, Maybin.

If Herm had a better showing in Spring, it may be different, but if Kole doesn't pick it up, we have a metric ton of options.

Blash is on the 40 man, they traded for him, he has MLB experience and can hit the long ball.

Lirano has a skill set similar to Kole's. Across the board production capability.

EY can play all three spots, is a leader, came up around the game, will be a manager some day and can get on base and run.

Hermosillo obviously has the highest upside and could likely outproduce many major league outfielders. He gets on base, can run, has pop in his bat, plays better defense than we saw in Spring.

But he needs to use the whole field. He's become too pull heavy.

Lund could also be another option in the near futher. Guy has been crushing it at AA and while drawing his walks.
