Disappointing, but the stuff is still there and apparent.  That in of itself is a big relief compared to what we saw in ST.

Don't know if you've noticed, but the home run is an issue with EVERY pitcher now.

Definitely not the debut we were hoping for that's for sure. Then again, if he can just limit the damage and get through five or six innings, it won't be so bad.

I am not as good at evaluating these guys as many if you. But is it just me, or does his slider not seem to be breaking much?

That's really the issue this start for him. He does have a nasty slider but so far this start he just doesn't seem to have a good feel for it. Maldonado keeps setting up down and they keep floating

When Kinsler is ready, that will not be a hard decision. Valbuena moves back to the bench and Fontana reunites with Kaleb.

Exactly.  I was concerned in ST because his FB velocity was much lower than his scouting report and his command was all over the place.  I don't think he'll be a pinpoint command guy, but as long as that FB velocity sits in the upper 90s, and his command is as we have seen it so far, he'll be just fine.  And that is what I wanted to see more than the results itself - his stuff and command.
