Shepherds are awesome dogs. We raised Australian Shepherds growing up. I believe I read somewhere that Aussie's are rated as the smartests dogs on earth.

We recently purchased an Anatolian Shepherd (Turkish) last Sept  from a breeder in Oregon, when he was 2 months old.

Archie is now 6 1/2 months old.  He's going to be a big boy. Another great Shepherd breed!

Check out the attachment link at the bottom for a short video of the night I brought Archie home to meet my wife and daughter for the first time.

I’ve got an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix, and I couldn’t be happier with him. He’s about two now (got him at six months). He’s got pretty similar coloring to Sully’s pup actually. Nonetheless, the dog is sweet as can be, responds well to training, picks up on words and patterns very quickly, and has a ton of energy to go with his desire to please. I’d say Sully made a great decision.

Decided to share a couple photos of my buddy, Scout. Like I said, similar coloring to Sully’s dog. The fourth one down is from the first night I brought him home at six months old. Others are just random shots from the last year or so. (And don’t be worried by the pitt and bulldog in the one pic... Those three played together a lot at my old place and never were aggressive with each other.)

Well, It happened. Opie hasn't been gone long and I wasn't ready yet, but my kids needed this. So here is our new family member and my new buddy. Ranger (like the one that works in the forest, not the ones in texas. I just realized this...damnit)

Two of my old partners. Lost both last year, within about a month of each other. One to old age, the other had to be put down out of nowhere, had a giant tumor on his spine.

Dogs in general you get attached to. K9s you get really close to. That was tough. Both were perfect dogs.
