The dodgers, on the other hand, haven't been able to brag for almost 3 decades. They're assholes because they're assholes. Baseball didn't make them that way. And who the hell cares what fans are yelling "all across the country"?  It's not like you can hear them.  

Couldn’t agree more. Nightmare predicament but I gotta root for the Skanks here if that’s the matchup.  It really does come down to the fact that I won’t be able to stomach the people that I have to be around constantly if they go on to win it. Who knows, maybe Houston can win two at home.

They're certainly favored tonight with Verlander, then Game 7 where anything can happen.

The dodgers are a solid team but good god the dbacks and cubs just rolled over and died for them. I will shamelessly root for the Yankees or Astros to win. I actually think the yanks match up better with them because their pen is loaded.

I would rather the revenue and tax dollars stay in LA then let the Cubs get another world series.

It really doesn't bother me at all the Dodgers, after five post season appearances in a row, have earned the right to host the World Series. They earned it and have an enviable team. 

I'm not even concerned with coworkers that have been long term Dodgers fans, they suffered through the McCourts and still kept with their team. 

All the faux animosity here is pretty ridiculous. Saying you'd rather the East Coast Yankees won instead of your own West coast representative just plays into the Yankees getting non stop hand jobs by the media. You would think that as Angels fans that had to put up with the flagrant one sided umpiring playing that team you would say, screw those Jerks. 

As for the Astros, screw them as well.  Since when did you guys want a team from Texas to have a trophy in their case? 

I'll watch the world series because once that is done the next televised baseball game is the AFL all star game in November then nothing until spring training. I hope it goes seven games and the local businesses suck Yankee or Astros wallets dry and send them home winless.

I wonder what Arte really thinks about this whole Dodgers in the World Series thing. He’s a billionaire bringing in 3 million fans regardless of the standings.

I guess we will all find out together how he feels come next spring when we see what the 2018 team looks like.

Roberts unsuccessfully tried two run on contact plays in the Cubs series getting runners gunned down at home with less than two outs.

As my interest in the Angels has reduced over the years, the upside is that I'm not bitter about other teams, either.  I used to HATE the Dodgers.  HATE the Yankees.  Now, whoever wins, i am fine with it.  My oldest is a Dodger fan.  My favorite nephew is a Dodger fan.  Many friends of mine are Dodger fans.  I am happy for them.  That's a great feeling, to have your team go to the WS.  I am glad friends and family get to experience the happiness.

 

I still hate the Red Sox.

My choices are made by what teams and players I like versus which ones I don’t. And I happen to dislike the dodgers more than any other team. It has nothing to do with what fans of other teams do, I was just pointing out that my belief is a pretty common one among sports fans in general and there’s nothing ridiculous about it. I’d bet that more angel fans will be rooting against the dodgers, just like dodger fans would root against the angels, kings against ducks, ducks against kings, raiders/niners etc.
