Beltre has a career .814 OPS against the Angels. Good, but not ridiculous. Though he does have his most career HR's and RBI's against them, which is not a surprise.

As for Napoli, it's not even comparable. Against the Angels his slash line is: .324/.426/.632. He's basically Trout against this team.

I remember when Beltre was a FA and a great many Angel fans didn't want to have anything to do with him.

I did... I was pissed we didn't sign him. Especially for the price he was signed for.

Can you imagine if the Angels signed Beltre and Grienke instead of Pujols and Hamilton?

In his first ML at-bat in 1998 he hit an RBI double off of Chuck Finley. In his career he has more RBI against the Angels than any other team, 158.

By the way, his best months are August and September.

So, in 20 some odd years of playing against him someone somewhere in our organization has never said we should try it this way ________...... Even today with advanced stats and metrics?..... Stupid!

The truth is that SVEN thinks he knows and has a grasp of how it should happen outcome be DAMNED and he won't deviate from his beliefs..... In Beltre's and Napoli's instance for examples (he doesn't have a clue)!

What is the definition of Stupidity?.... Repeatedly doing the same thing one way while expecting a different outcome.

Pujols needs to take a hard grounder to the nut sack.

Yep..     Not sure why everyone always glosses over the reality that Beltre has been legally using testosterone while the rest of MLB has to age naturally.

He's been great -- no doubt.  But so were all the other guys that got called to testify before congress.

Because he smiles a lot.
