Closer Don "Full Pack" Stanhouse made him go through enough of them in 1978-79, when he had almost as many BB's allowed as hits allowed.

He made even Nibs look like Greg Maddux with command.

Eventually, it caught up to Stanhouse as he flopped with the Dogs after signing there as a FA after 1979.

The club is 2,000 hits as a Yankee. There were four members at that time, 1964, and Mantle became the fifth.
