FWIW, Robinson's been the best LF we've had the last two seasons. And by a decent margin too.

Probably ties in a bit with Escobar being shopped. 

I can't help but think Eppler prepped for the likelihood of the Angels struggling, and acquired guys like Escobar, Soto, Pennington, Gentry, Nava, Alburquerque with the idea of flipping them, and filling the pipeline behind them with guys like Ortega, Choi, and Marte. Young players with upside who had fallen off the radar.

The way I look at it is that's it's nice to let him play and stay on the roster.  He needs the medical benefits that major leaguers get for his child.  At this point there is no one better anyway.
