If any one has been to a game this year. You know it's barely half full. These are tickets bought. People are barely going to games. I've said this before but I went to game 2 against the Cubs and the stadium was barely half full. Season ticket numbers will be down next year.

They say that every year.

I think 3M is the threshold for having to revenue share with the city.

Here's the funny part, Arte has to share a portion of the parking revenue with the city when it reaches a certain threshold. Arte keeps all of the ticket revenue so if they sell 3M tickets and the fans don't show up the parking lot is empty and the city gets nothing.

The real funny part is Arte may be selling that many tickets, but in reality since the team isn't competitive there are less fans actually attending the games.  Since that is the case he is missing out on a ton of revenue in merchandise, and concessions.

He's still doing better than most owners of professional sports franchises. He's got Mike Trout, 3M tickets sold, the rally monkey and he pays no rent. When the attendance is down they don't open all of the concessions stands so they save money on labor. As far as merchandise, Arte gets profit from any Angels MLB licensed related products sold worldwide. Arte did real well when he signed Matsui because the Japanese fans in Japan and here were buying up all his jerseys. Arte is doing just fine.
