It doesn't look like Weaver was able to somehow pull off a miracle this off season and recapture his fast ball. 83mph just isn't going to cut it. 2 HR and a long fly out in 2 innings.

At best, the hope was he would maintain the 83 MPH FB average he had last year. So far in 2 spring starts, his average FB velocity has gone down another 2 MPH to 81 MPH
