I am more concerned about changing Leap Year extras day.

They should give the extra day in Summer months like July or August, instead of February when the weather sucks and kids have school

the more i've thought about this, the less possible it would be to do. Feb 29 is internationally recognized, tying in birthdates and passport info, so there would be some issues with eliminating it. also, what if other countries choose to keep using it?

but you're right, i'd rather have the extra day in summer.

Your a teacher in California. They mandate the number of school days per year. So effectively, aren't you getting the extra day in summer?

Yeah.  If you somehow switched the date to a summer date it will just mean school would end a day on the calendar later.  Summer would be the same length either way.

Saving... saving!  Not savings!

I saw a proposal to split the country into two timezones, I am a fan of that one too.  Just a west and east one hour apart.

I would think the birthday issue would not be a factor since it is already accounted for 3 out of 4 years.
