it wouldn't surprise me if texas loses those matches. they seem to struggle against pitchers with slower "junkier" stuff (i'm sure everyone says that about their respective teams)

Will be interesting to see Holland tonight. A lot of his success is because of his change-up that he has found the "feel' for. Was considered his best pitch while he was coming up through the Minor League. yet he did not really use it the last 2 years...

Schedules are pretty similar. Texas has only played Houston 3 times. Swap out the Texas vs TB and LAA vs Det and its basically the same. Ofcourse Texas has not faced that great team up in the Twin Cities yet...

At least if Blanton gets bombed (again), the decision to put him long relief when Weaver gets back and keep Richards in the rotation will be that much easier to make.

I know where you're coming from. The Angels have a tendency to beat aces (Hernandez, Verlander, Darvish etc) then turn around and lose the next day to Cy Randomlefty. We probably saved three losses this year because of the Vargas trade just from not having to face him anymore.
