Young then strikes out 3 in the bottom of the first.

Then again, he hasn't pitched many innings since August, pitching mainly out of the pen.

Barring a miraculous comeback, its extremely unlikely the Blue Jays escape a 3-1 deficit. KC in the WS two years in a row? Disgusting.

Looking as to why a 15 game winner with a 3.81 ERA in a hitters' division (Buerhle) was kept off of the post-season roster, I see that Dickey's 2015 stats other than wins were slightly better.    However, a team has to be aware that any extra rest by a knuckleballer is never the best thing to have, and can be a normal thing in the post-season depending on the scheduling.

 

Couldn't Buerhle have been kept on the roster over either Loup (mediocre stats) or Hawkins (high WHIP)?

Hendriks has settled things down, only 1 baserunner allowed in 2.1 innings.
