Taking Giavotella out for defensive purposes when we have a lead late is common sense, he's awful with the club. But Jackson is the guy who should be coming in, not Featherston.

7th inning is not "late" when he's guaranteed another at-bat in the 8th. Scioscia had to pinch-hit Murphy for Featherston at that point. Who knows what Gia would have done. He takes out the hot hand in a close game and pours cold water on the team.

And then we saw what Featherston did with his fabulous defense.

I get the feeling you don't like Scioscia.

I probably wouldn't have pulled Gia until the 8th inning of a two run game. I completely agree with pulling bad defensive players when you have a lead late, but it was only two runs, with this bullpen, and it was only the 7th.

If Pujols & Cron leave hundreds of guys on base like yesterday's game, Angels will lose 3 of 4.  Pujols has been doing it all year.

If Scioscia plays his crummy vets like Iannetta, Victorino, Joyce, they can start reserving T times now.

Removing one of your best clutch hitters (there aren't many on this team) for D replacement...no mas.

Short leash on Weaver.

No contact plays, ever.

I'm fairly certain Scioscia will not play Murphy all 4 games. Like others here have already posted, he'll continue to manage like he always does. He is Stubborn Scioscia after all. I just hope the players can overcome his stupidity. Oh and if anyone here thinks Albert will actually get some base hits with risp, I'll pray for you. His team mates will have to overcome him too. It's really too bad that Scioscia still thinks he's worthy of hitting 4th. Oh well.
