Sucks. End of an era. DC Don Pellum will almost certainly be fired at the end of this season, the question is will Helfrich? After a turnover and 10 point lead with 6 minutes to go, he decides its okay to take out Royce Freeman and go with your third string that had zero reps in the game so far? They have had 3 years to develop a QB and the best they can do is Jeff Lockie? Inexcusable for a team that has finished top 10 since 2009. I need another beer.

Absolutely. They never got a five star but did get a few four stars, including redshirt freshman Morgan Mahalak. And how bad must Mahalak be to not receive any playing time over Lockie? Lockie is the worst starting QB in the conference. At one point in yesterday's awesome game, he threw a five-yard out route pass 2 yards short into the turf. There was no pressure applied. I couldn't believe it. With that said, you aren't always going to hit on QBs and Oregon had a nice little run going from Dixon to Masoli to Thomas to Mariota which lead to the national consensus that anyone can have success in this system. Meet this current batch of shit, sans possibly Vernon Adams if his finger ever heals. In the words of George Harrison, all things must pass.
