Congrats Nick!     It's hard to believe that it's been some 35 years since you started out as a Kings announcer.

Both the Ducks and the Kings gave up way too many good scoring chances to the Yotes...gotta shore up the D.  McNabb had a terrible game and has not had a great season so far.

The Yotes increased speed has improved their play from an abysmal 2014-15 season.

a couple moves like what dallas has done and they could be a force.

Back on track again, as Enroth allows only 1 goal in a 2-1 win and has a 3-0 record and 0.67 GAA.

Crazy stat: zero OT/SO losses after 16 games

Enroth has been solid

When the kings have been really good they've had very solid back up goaltending

The years with Bernier and Jones come to mind

this is a well-deserved honor for nick. when he first switched to radio play by play, i was really skeptical. he settled in nicely and does a terrific job night in night out.

 

back in 98 my wife and i were staying at a hotel in san jose and had tix to see the sharks v. kings that night. i went to the lobby to check in, and lo and behold, it's the Kings! they were just checking out and headed over to the arena. so i'm at the desk checking in, and there's nick and bob. it was trade deadline day and nick had a couple of pages of the deals made. i asked him if the Kings had made any moves. he said no, then asked if i wanted to read through the list. sure do! that was a pretty nice moment to share with him.

 

during the closing moments of game 6 in '12, i muted the nbcsn broadcast and turned on my radio to hear nick make the call. "After 45 years, the Kings can wear their crowns!!" It was the perfect thing to say.

bernier, jones, and now enroth . . . we've been blessed with three very good quality backups in recent years.

A little sloppy, but they beat the Oilers Saturday night, something the Ducks couldn't do.

11-3 since the 0-3 start, and a 41-24 edge in scoring over the past 14 games

 

It's remarkable that they have 0 OT/SO losses so far after 17 games, after having a solid number of them yearly.

they're playing well. let's hope they keep it up for the long haul.

 

i like that Lucic is starting to get more involved in scoring. would still like to see him be more of an agitator, like he was in boston. of course, it's possible that sutter has told him not to play that way.

i really like the 3 on 3 OT format. glad to see we actually won a shootout (didn't have too many of those last year).
