We really need to consider how far we can let this team be bad with Scioscia at helm. Is there even a line that can be crossed

before moves are made?

I think the line has been crossed. The team is very uninspiring due to the type of coaches they have. We need coaches who will get in these guys faces when they play like dirt.

If this shit continues then there will definitely be changes. It isn't directly the coaching that has caused this awful start but at some point something has to give. You can't just release players left and right, so the coaches will be the ones to go. I'm thinking Butcher.

 

Anything to shake up this team. Firing Hatcher seemed to have a positive effect last year.

An absolute horrible job of putting a pitching staff together by Dipoto. Last season all he talked about was oitchers missing bats then he goes out and trades for two starters who never miss bats and gives 15 mil to perhaps the worst starter in the game. The pen is loaded with soft tossers.

This staff will set many negative records this season.

Well said and spot on, though Hanson dID miss bats before injuries turned him into a shell of what he used to be. Amazed at how many soft tossers this team trots out. Jepsen, Frieri, CJ Wilson and Madson(when he returns) might be the only guys on this team who can throw consistently over 90 mph.

The entire FO must be on drugs to not send Lowe down. He's the worst pitcher I've seen in recent memory.

And the Starters? More trouble. 

It's going to be a race to the finish, race to last place between Houston and this team. The Mariners are better. The Rangers are better and the A's are better.

 

Drastic trades or bring up AA and AAA pitchers, that's all there is to it.

Butcher should probably go, they need a new voice... but goes back to the scouting and the farm system, and not being able to bring guys up through the organization.... Adenhart  was a rotten break... any trades they can make at the deadline for prospects would be helpful, but not sure the Angels have that much to trade.

Yep. This org really needs Richards or Maronde to develop into a mid rotation starter going forward. They need to do a better job of drafting pitching talent these next few years. Price of pitching has sky rocketed and they can't just go out and sign the cream o the crop FA SP every year

Trumbo likely the only one to fetch anything to make a difference. You might get a decent SP and a couple BP pieces.

And that won't happen anyway. There is nothing to trade. You have to give anyone in the system a shot, and cross your fingers.
