Albert Pujols Needs to Retire

Recommended Posts

It'll be funny when we are all at the stadium, tears running down our cheeks, for Pujols last game, all of us wishing he could just stick around for one more season...

.....and Trout will be playing for Boston in that game, which we will lose because Scioscia didn't set the lineup properly.

update?

3rd in the AL.  7th in mlb for 1bman.  19th in MLB overall.

What it's like to watch him right now is amazing and still shy of what Cards fans got to see for almost 11 straight years.

I hope those holier than thou bastards appreciated being able to watch the best player in baseball light it up on a nightly basis............oh wait.

Albert Pujols' stats on the day this thread was started:

.223/.277/.392 with 6 HR and 90 wRC+ in 141 PA

Albert Pujols since then:

.333/.385/.741 with 13 HR and a 219 wRC+ in 117 PA

You're welcome, Angelswin - my mojo strikes again.

Seriously though, this is probably the best stretch he's had as an Angel in three and a half years. Let's hope that when he comes back down to earth, We don't see the crapturd we saw for the first month and a half.

On MLBtv, they said his current HR streak ranks 2nd in his career. So we currently are witnessing vintage Pujols.
