A rare whale with long, spiked teeth washed up on a southern California beach.

According to Jim Serpa, a former Doheny State Beach supervisor who lives in San Clemente, Calif., the photographs he was sent of the nearly 9-foot-long fierce-looking creature confirmed his hunch -- that it was a pygmy sperm whale.

Serpa had never seen a live pygmy sperm whale before this one was discovered by a lifeguard on May 15 at San Onofre State Beach in San Diego County, Calif.

A 24-year-old woman in Uganda, unable to travel due to coronavirus restrictions, was burned by her Muslim father for purportedly converting to Christianity, according to a persecution watchdog group.

Rehema Kyomuhendo is one among millions of Christians in the East African nation who face unprecedented levels of persecution.

Kyomuhendo was at her aunt's house in Nawuyo village, Mbale District, with her father, Sheikh Hussein Byaruhanga Husain of Mbarara District, on May 4 when she called a friend of his whom she knew to be a Roman Catholic.

Husain reportedly told his sister that he was going to kill his daughter for converting to Christianity before he poured burning fuel on her that night, the eleventh day of the Islamic holiday Ramadan.

we have heard stories like this for as long as i can remember in my church. 

there are a lot of people in the world who don't want anything to do with Christianity for themselves or their children. there are also a lot of people who have ignored those feelings from their parents and become Christians anyway, often with very terrible results (being ostracized from their village, being kicked out of the house, sometimes being physically assaulted, etc..).
