Watched a replay and focused on Rich Strike.  Man, what a beautiful ride by the jockey.  Last out of the gate, but clear.  He was patient, the horse moved on command.  He got a little lucky the rail opened up for him.  But turned it on on command.

Yeah, he caught my eye when the rail opened up and then he just exploded to the front. It wad a fantastic ride.

He was also lucky around the turn.  The horse on the outside was giving him little room.  But the inside horse faded, to give him the room he needed.  Then the rail opened up.

He needed help, and he got it at the right time in the right places. But that burst of speed to the finish was exceptional.

Very few horses can juke to the outside like he did and keep his momentum going.
