Samsung has found a way to boost Wi-Fi speeds fivefold

When it comes to Wi-Fi technology, it’s a tale of two speeds: the theoretical and the actual. Thanks to real-world elements like walls and household appliances, the maximum network bandwidth you see on a router’s box are never achieved – until now, if Samsung is to be believed. The technology giant claims to have developed a 60 GHz Wi-Fi technology that will bridge the gap between theoretical and actual Wi-Fi speeds.

So, for example, a 1 gigabyte (GB) movie could be transferred between devices in fewer than three seconds, and uncompressed high-definition videos can be streamed from mobile devices to TVs in real time.

Yes things will be so much better when the government takes over.

Outside of your one line, snarky snipe, do you have any actual insight on the issue? Do you have a compelling reason behind your statement other than "me no likey all govermintz?" It's not like the concept of net neutrality requires some massive new tax or for a huge federal department to be created to enforce it. Everything is already in place. Why is the alternative preferable in your opinion given the nature of the Internet and its integral place in what are basic activities of 21st century life?

For now that only applies to mobile data. The internet that  comes from your router isn't usually capped but I think Comcast and AT&T do it in some places.

I think my dsl, fiber that isn't capped close enough to make a difference, is capped at 150 gb a month.  I don't think I've ever even come close to it.  But they do state a limit.  I don't know what would happen if I went over.

I think they start charging you $.50 per GB or something like that.
