So what is everyone's thoughts on Obama's plan for ISIS?

Joke or not the compulsory defense pact is the perfect excuse to get us in for the long haul.

The Kurds are getting a little pissed at Turkey about the Kobani situation. If the Kurds start fighting the Turks what does the US do?

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has insisted that fighting the government of President Bashar al-Assad of Syria should take precedence over fighting the Islamic State. And he holds the P.K.K. in such contempt that he recently equated the rebel group with the Islamic State.

This is going to end well.

ISIS forces are stalled a few miles from the Baghdad airport because the airstrikes are blocking their path.

My question is why aren't we carpet-bombing them en masse 24 hours a day? It's a flat country, there are thousands of ISIS soldiers and plenty of tanks and other equipment. Just bomb the entire countryside within a 20 mile radius of Baghdad.

Ever since Desert Storm and the relatively easy time we had the expectations for these military missions is rapid success with near zero casualties.

This is a coalition effort. Just as we wouldn't carpet bomb Mexico to get the cartels, the other Arab states aren't going to be involved in carpet bombing a neighbor state.

ISIS May Have Chemical Weapons

The group, making gains in Iraq and Syria, may have captured chemical agents in Iraq in June and used them in July to kill three Kurdish fighters in the strategically important region of Kobani in northwest Syria, suggests a report released Sunday by the Global Research in International Affairs Center, a branch of the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel.

WMD's.  Bush was right!!!!

But in all reality.  You would think that the chemical weapons would have come from Syria.  Why does Iraq, who the US backs, have chemical weapons?   Especially after the stink that Obama made about Assad.
