huh?  cron's baserunning is typical of every angel player the last 5 years not named trout.  it has nothing to do with disar.

 

Good lord man, situations like that the third base coach is telling the baserunners what to do before the ball is even hit.   Preston Gomez used to have different signals unique to every player, when he had two men on he would go through two full sets on signs to make sure everyone was on the same page..

 

If Disar isn't managing the basepaths then why have a 3B coach?

There is almost no value with 2 outs to risk a runner advancing to 3rd and to compile of the mistake you have your best hitter coming to the plate. I don't know why there is a giant hole in their baseball fundamentals but it seems never to get filled with knowledge.

 

This isn't little league, you don't send runners simply because you think they can't make two plays in a row: a catch and a throw and tag.

 

Yeah, that's a play you have to be 110% sure you're gonna be safe to even begin to justify.

 

And given that it wasn't a deep flyball and it's CJ Cron running, well....

it also increases the risk that the guy at third gets thrown out before the guy crosses the plate.

so disar said no matter where the ball is hit tag and go to 3rd?
