STANLEY CUP FINAL - LA Kings vs. NY Rangers

two pucks - TWO!- stopped by the snow. no way to explain that. the first goal was a beautiful tip in of a shot going about 3 feet wide. st. louis' goal barely slips under quick's leg. the rangers caught the breaks tonight just like the Kings did monday night.

on to game 5.

thought the Kings out played the Rangers for at least two periods tonight - maybe even three -- but the score didn't reflect that ---

that's the way the game goes -- oh well, the Kings probably shouldn't have won game Three because of the goaltender interference call that wasn't made.

it will be nice for the LA fans to see the Cup hoisted at Staples.  Friday.

gotta had it to Lundqvist and the Rangers defense tonight -- how they kept the puck out of the net during that wild third period is amazing.

Kings were in the attacking zone and driving the net almost the entire period.........Kudos to the Rangers defense and to Lundqvist who made some great stops.

Kudos to the Kings for putting the puck on net..........I think the Rangers may have had one or two shots the entire third period.

Agreed.  The Kings out-played and out-chanced the Rangers, but the Rangers finally got the luck in their favor (IE; snow-wall at the goal-line).  I thought the Rangers played a much better physical game against the Kings, but the game came-down to the Kings just not finishing their chances.

Maybe they went "Black Sox" and threw-it, so they could come back home?.. 8)

*I'm feeling like a case of "Cup-itis" is gonna set-in this Friday.. Sorry Boss, won't be in to work..

The turnovers stat continue to be rock solid for the Kings going back to game 3.   Just 7 in game 3, and just 5 in game 4

Continue to take care of the puck, and they are in good shape.   10 grams of ice can't continue to keep pucks out of the net.

For clarity's sake, without luck it would likely be 2-2 and NOT 3-1 Rangers.

The Kings did indeed outplay them after the 1st period in game 1.

Lundqvist is 5-0 in elimination games this postseason. Only 1 goal allowed in those 5 games. Series is going back to NY.

Generally every team playing in the playoffs are undefeated in elimination games.

One goal allowed in 15+ periods. I'll take that any day.

You may wanna double check your stats. He's been damn good in elimination games but he hasn't been THAT good.

Game 7 versus Philly he gave up 1

He gave up a goal in each of the last three games against Pittsburgh

He did shutout the Habs (No elimination game)

He gave up one in game 4 of the Final
