yeah, after the 4th(?) inning you could see weaver in the dugout following scioscia screaming at him as they left the dugout. gotta thing its the shift. i'm getting the feeling weaver cannot stand other people screwing up his game (similar to him getting pissed with salas(?) let every runner who was on score as soon as weaver left the game.

He is likely grudgingly going along with what Dipoto wants by doing token moves like putting the shift on, batting Trout second etc. However, by executing those advanced stat moves poorly, he is able to come back and argue that old school works better.
