so, not to jump the gun on this one, but by my back of the envelope calcs, freese has been hitting .294 with a home run in his last 17 at bats. he appears to be turning a bit of a corner.

 

Both his hits yesterday were seeing-eye dribblers, but the oppo line drive tonight and HR the other night leave me very cautiously optimistic.

I don't get WTF was up with the bunt attempts. Shuck should have swung away. Base hit keeps the rally going. Even a GIDP or popup scores a run.
