Pretty rough day.

 

The game last night sucked.

 

News of Hamilton's injury is really disappointing...

 

I keep seeing articles about Nick Adenhart.....

 

I was feeling generally positive about the team after the 1st inning last night.

CJ was awesome his last game.  Skaggs was awesome.  Richards looked good.  Shoemaker is looking good.

 

IF the Angels win tonight, they come back home with a 4-5 record, which is pretty good for a team that started 0-3.

I just put my playoff hopes in a ziplock bag and chucked it in my freezer.  in my garage.

 

It will also give the board plenty to discuss about trading certain guys and then next spring when we get josh back it will be like adding a power bat to the middle of our order.

on the contrary, I think the team is living up to it's potential.

Pujols looked locked in last night.

Every championship caliber team has other players step up when one is injured.

It is time for one of Stewart, Cowgill, Shuck to contribute.

That and Pujols needs to continue what I saw from him last night and Trout needs to pull his head out.

Other guys on this team HAVE TO STEP UP or there's no shot.

If we can stay close over the next 6-8 weeks in the standings we'll be good when Hamilton comes back.

Most of what I'm watching this year is the growth of the young starters, Mike Trout, Kole Calhoun hopefully establishing himself as a legit leadoff option, Lindsey tearing up AAA so the Halos can deal Kendrick for hopefully another pitching prospect, and to see who they take with their 1st round pick in the June draft

 

I'll also hopefully get to see some of the young arms in the pen at some point rather than having to see Salas/Kohn/Jepsen.

It's still baseball? That's how I'm going to look at it.

 

I've supported the team through the past few years. Nothing will really change now. I hate losing but I still enjoy watching baseball regardless.
