Ryan Dempster news got me thinking back

to the thread where people were jabbing back and forth about pujols and his comments about walking away from his contract if he wasn't playing like warranted. i'm not saying that he will or won't, but there were a lot of comments about "nobody ever doing that", and so on.

 

gil meche was mentioned, but that didn't satisfy. well, ryan dempster is forfeiting this years salary. he's taking a year off.

Blosox now need another pitcher. I'm thinking they need a guy with AL experience who is being under-utilized by his current team and is just sitting in the bullpen. I just happen to know of such a blantonious kind of guy.

if that's what you think i said, then your reading comprehension is low. he forfeited his salary, voluntarily. he could have rehabed all year and collected his entire salary, and that's a fact.

He's not doing so because of his performance.  He's doing so to get healthy and spend time with his family. 

 

You want Pujols to stop playing forever if he doesn't perform to your level of acceptablility.
