not too disappointed to see the Angels miss out on Arroyo, or any of the other guys who have signed recently, but I would like to see them do SOMETHING to bolster the SP before the season.

No thanks. Honestly, out of all the guys in FA (ignoring Tanaka/Garza)..neither one is going to come in here and provide us with much anyways. We need depth, so a cheaper guy like Capauno would most likely make the most sense. If one of Richards/Skaggs/Santiago don't play well enough to be our #3, we wouldn't have made it with someone like Arroyo anyways.

I was just thinking about how their off-season reminded me of Reagins last with the Angels.  After talking and talking and talking about making a huge move, he ends up dealing for Wells.

I'm ok with this, wasn't really as high on Arroyo as others, especially on a multi year deal. The Angels seem to be committed to going with the young arms in the rotation this year.

I wasnt huge on signing him, but I absolutely wanted us to sign another arm.

I think this is a good indication that the FO is being honest when they say theyre going into the year as is.
