there seems to be a lot of self congratulatory fapping going on in this thread. i'm not really getting how you predicted the arizona trade last year. it was completely different players, but the d'backs were involved with us in a three way trade. does that count as a victory or something?

 

i'd like cishek for the angels, as i've maintained all off season that we need another late inning reliever or closer to slot frieri down one, but i wouldn't trade that much for him. the truth is, within organizations that have minor league depth, closers are readily available and waiting to be made. the angels may or may not have those arms.

Yeah, I saw a list on mlb the other day about the moves the dbacks have made the last few years. It was....interesting.

Then read it again. Against everyone else, I properly had our two guys heading out for some pitching involving the Dbacks. I also had the White Sox swooping in for the Trumbo trade. We were actually in on Kennedy right before he went to San Diego, but we did not want to part with Yarbrough, Borenstein, and Alvarez for him.
