I agree with this. I believe the AAV gets calculated on opening day, or soon thereafter.

Knowing that Wells and Blanton come off the books at the end of the 2014 season, I can see a deal happening sometime mid-season for 2015 and beyond.

Well yeah ideally they'd have never signed Hamilton, but they did. Can't change history

 

for how the team is constructed now, this deal made sense and helps them going forward

 

What does this team have a god-damned plan or what? What I see are stupid moves necessitated by stupid moves. That doesn't make the latter moves less stupid, just more necessary.
