Texas is destroying Seattle, 10-0 in the 4th inning. The Mariners have no hits so far.

 

Dodgers are leading the Cubs 4-0 in the 6th. Puig was removed from the game by Mattingly after two plate appearances for some unknown reason. Not injured.

Perez has been really good for Texas this year.

Seems like Texas has done a good job of producing arms from their system from Perez, Holland, Ogando and that's with losing Lewis, Harrison and Feliz out for the year.

The Rangers are really good, and aren't going anywhere. We all make fun of their no WS (Myself included), but they have smart people running their organization and are led by one of the best GMs in the game in Jon Daniels.

I was mistaken when I posted earlier that Mattingly benched Puig immediately after the double play in the 1st inning. It was actually a few innings later when he had enough and pulled Puig from right field, substituting Schumaker. Puig struck out in the third and looked bad, flinging his bat angrily, then in the top of the 5th walked very slowly out to his position. That was the last straw, apparently.

 

Don Mattingly always played hard, and I can imagine Puig's antics today were just too much for him.
