Rough start for him. The weird part is that his defense has looked like shit. Maybe he's just pressing.

Not worried at all. He probably didn't make the mental shift from spring training to regular season, but he'll come around.

David Fletcher?  That’s a really bad comparison.  Fletcher was a blue collar worker who would just grind to overcome the fact that he really didn’t have the high end baseball skills. Kind of a “getter dun” somehow guy.

Thats pretty much the exact opposite of Neto, who has all the actual skills.

I think he'll be fine, but it may not be until April. Tim Salmon was a notoriously slow starter, if y'all remember.

Playing in Miami, his home, was certainly affecting him yesterday. The nerves will be gone by next week. He's young...its what happens.

He's been getting to the ball but having trouble handling it. Could be a matter of concentration and focus. His mechanics seemed ok last season. But like all the slow starters they'll need to start producing sooner rather than later.

Washington has a heavy hand in coaching infielders.  It is also very possible Neto is just trying to apply something that Washington is trying to get him to do.
