My only disappointment is that the there are only two players going on the IL.  I expect a minimum of three in these times.  Perhaps we can add one today and include it within a 24 hour window. I would accept that.

After the magic of 2012-19, Trout's last four seasons have been such a let-down. Not to belabor the point, but I think that our worst fears have been realized and it is hard to refute that he's on the Griffey career path. I think at best we get one or two 130 game seasons out of the next seven.

So that's a total of 131 games in the second half in the last five full seasons, or an average of 26 per year. That's 37.4% of games, meaning he's missed almost two-thirds of all Angels games (62.6%) played in the second half since 2018.

Conclusion: Trout is injury prone.
