He’s not chasing profits, he wants the team to be profitable. Equity does not factor in to Arte’s calculus.

Going all in on Shohei keeps us on the treadmill we’ve been on the past decade. No prospects of any value to trade for areas of need, no money to fill holes with actual legit major leaguers.  

For the first time in a long time there’s actual promise in the farm system. I would not blow it up to keep one player happy. I want us to be a real contender every year. Can’t do this on the course we are currently on. And, I bet that Perry believes that as well.

Honestly I’m ready to move on from Ohtani. Time for Arte to walk in like a Boss with his best offer.  If Ohtani balks, I’m trading his ass. Yes, Ohtani is a special player but he is brittle. 600 million will buy a nice yacht full of Kate Uptons. I’d take the draft picks now before we get Pearl Harbored.

This team has so many needs it’s sad. Putting all their eggs into one basket will not be a winning formula. I think they should trade him before the deadline and see if they can get some top tier prospects and then spend all that money to address the needs. It will suck to see him on the Dodgers though

You make it sound as if he doesn’t have upside but he has tremendous upside. I just don’t think he’s worth the money he’s going to get especially when the Halos don’t have Yankee or Dodgers money to spend. Too many other areas that money can be spent on

I’m not saying that. I just wouldn’t marry a retired pornstar after two years of dating. Especially one that hints that I might be inadequate. Yes things might work out for 50 years of the best sex ever. There’s probably a better chance she returns to her roots , screws around and gives you aids. Might be better off cutting our losses and finding a girl with a little humility that just needs an opportunity.

Well he’s being a bit hypocritical. Pretty sure money and  not our shitty play is driving his bus. If winning was number 1 , we’d have a deal in place that allowed us some flexibility to improve the team. He’s fully within his rights to play this game but he isn’t fooling me. He ain’t looking to get married , we are semi hot chick he’s using to lure in the super model.
